Israeli cyber startup raises $113m to secure and control autonomous AI agents

Israeli cyber startup Onyx Security has secured $113 million in funding, bringing its total raised to $153 million, to develop a platform for securing and controlling autonomous AI agents in the workplace. The funding round, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, values the company at approximately $640 million. Founded in 2024 by Maxim Bar Kogan and Gil Elbaz, Onyx aims to address the security challenges posed by the rapid adoption of advanced AI systems, which are outpacing traditional enterprise security measures. Bar Kogan, CEO, stated, "A year from now, most actions inside the enterprise will be [performed by AI agents]." The company's AI control plane allows organizations to monitor AI agents, define their operational rules, and enforce them in real time, with a guardian agent identifying and managing risky actions. Onyx plans to use the new funds to train its proprietary AI models and expand its global market presence, particularly in critical infrastructure sectors like energy, finance, and healthcare.
