Israeli defense minister says Gaza’s destruction gives him a ‘good feeling’

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the widespread destruction in the Gaza Strip gives him a “good feeling,” attributing it to a “deliberate policy” to eliminate threats. During a tour of northern Gaza, broadcast by Israel’s Channel 14, Katz announced plans to establish three military-linked settlement outposts in the territory. He explained that Israel has shifted from temporary raids to a strategy where “the army is inside, the terrorists are outside, and the houses are destroyed.” Katz intends to establish these Nahal outposts at sites that existed before Israel’s 2005 withdrawal, citing security reasons to strengthen Israeli control and defense.
