Israeli defense-tech startup ASIO Technologies has secured $15 million in its initial funding round, led by Protego Ventures and co-led by Aliya Capital Partners. Founded by Tomer and Yaniv Malchi, ASIO develops tactical intelligence systems, command-and-control platforms, and jam-resistant navigation technologies, which are currently deployed by the IDF and other global defense customers. The funding will accelerate global expansion, scale production, and enhance product development, particularly for its proprietary GeoFusion technology, which ensures operational independence in contested environments. Tomer Malchi stated, "This investment marks an important milestone in ASIO's growth." Lital Leshem of Protego Ventures highlighted that ASIO solves the "harder problem" of keeping troops "coordinated, oriented, and autonomous when GPS and comms fall away." This investment follows a trend of significant funding in Israeli defense-tech, with nearly $3 billion raised in the first half of 2026.
