Israeli elections 2026: Meet the parliament—MK Ariel Kallner

Likud MK Ariel Kallner, a prominent figure in Israeli politics, outlined his views on various critical issues in an interview with JNS. He emphasized that Iran poses an "existential threat to the West as well" and advocated for its regime's downfall, stating, "We need to bring down this regime, even if it takes time and even if there are costs." Kallner, a former IDF Golani Brigade member and high-tech professional, also discussed his commitment to restoring Zionist nationalist thinking in Israeli institutions, particularly concerning the Land of Israel and expanding Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. He criticized foreign government intervention in Israel's domestic affairs through non-profits and championed legislation like the permanent "Al Jazeera Law" to address media outlets deemed harmful to national security. Additionally, Kallner is the chief sponsor of a bill for a State National Commission of Inquiry into the October 7th massacre, which he hopes to enact if re-elected. Regarding Gaza, he asserted that the population's "hate for Israel and for the Jews is absolute," suggesting that allowing them to relocate elsewhere is the only path to stability.
