Israeli mother and daughter brutally attacked in Thailand: ‘He asked where we were from, then beat us’

An Israeli mother and daughter were severely injured in an alleged antisemitic attack on Koh Phangan, Thailand. The 62-year-old mother and her 23-year-old daughter were visiting a waterfall when a man, later identified as holding a French passport, asked where they were from. After the daughter stated they were from Israel, the man confronted them about the war in Gaza before brutally assaulting them. The mother reported, "Out of nowhere, he started beating me viciously and bit my ear." Both women sustained injuries requiring surgery, with the mother undergoing ear surgery and the daughter a nose operation. The suspect was later arrested after being involved in a separate violent incident. The mother expressed shock, stating, "I never thought something like this could happen to me here in Thailand, where people are so friendly toward Israelis."
