Israeli OKs $434 million plan for building, developing Judea and Samaria towns

The Israeli Cabinet has approved a 1.3 billion shekel ($434 million) plan to establish and develop dozens of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, as announced by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Tuesday. This funding implements a March Cabinet decision and will finance rapid initial construction using prefabricated buildings, including up to 15 homes and two public buildings per location. Smotrich stated, "We are carrying out a historic revolution in Judea and Samaria that will prevent the establishment of a terror state in the heart of Israel." Additionally, a separate Cabinet decision authorized a new Jewish community near Sa-Nur in northern Samaria. Settlements and National Missions Minister Orit Strook called for building new Jewish communities throughout all of Judea and Samaria, including in Palestinian Authority-administered areas, asserting, "This entire land is ours—not only Area C, but also Areas B and A."
