Israeli security forces find rocket in Samaria counter-terror raid
A 10-member Hamas terror cell was apprehended during the operation near Nablus (Shechem).
Israeli security forces, including the IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police, apprehended a 10-member Hamas terror cell and dismantled a rocket during a counterterrorism raid in Aqraba, near Nablus (Shechem) in Samaria. The operation, completed Sunday morning, also uncovered an M16 rifle and explosives intended for improvised explosive devices, following questioning of one of the terrorists. This raid is part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts in Judea and Samaria, which included a Friday operation in Qabatiya that apprehended five terrorists planning attacks, and a 48-hour brigade-level operation in Nablus where over 10 suspects were arrested, dozens of weapons-production machines dismantled, and firearms confiscated. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commended the forces, stating, "Our activity to thwart terrorism continues with full force in Judea and Samaria, Gaza, Lebanon, and every place where our enemies attempt to threaten the State of Israel."
