Israeli teen, 15, killed in fall at Jordan hotel

A 15-year-old Israeli girl, Najat al-Shamali from Ramla, died Saturday after falling from a height at a hotel in Jordan during a family trip. Al-Shamali, who had special needs, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jordanian police have opened an investigation into the unclear circumstances of the fall. Her relatives expressed devastation, stating, “The father always takes the family on trips, and unfortunately this time the trip ended in disaster.” This incident follows two other recent fatal events involving Israeli travelers abroad: a three-year-old drowned in Egypt, and a 29-year-old died of a heart attack in Thailand.
