Israelis fear flight cancellations due to Iran, US aircraft parked at Ben Gurion, Israir CEO says

Israelis are concerned about potential flight cancellations due to escalating security issues with Iran, according to Israir CEO Uri Sirkis. This concern is influenced by a long-standing shortage of parking spaces at Ben-Gurion Airport, exacerbated by the presence of US tanker aircraft, and a ban on Israeli airlines flying to Dubai. Sirkis stated, "Since the attack in Iran, Israeli airlines have been prohibited from flying to Dubai." He added that this ban, which he believes was justified due to the route's proximity to the Iranian border, is expected to extend until the end of October. The European aviation safety authority has also recommended vigilance in the airspace. Sirkis also discussed efforts to increase domestic flights, with a tender published requiring airlines to operate five daily flights.
