Israel’s foreign minister speaks with Peruvian President-elect Fujimori

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar congratulated Peruvian President-elect Keiko Fujimori on her election victory and Peru's 205th Independence Day during a Tuesday phone call. Sa’ar stated that Fujimori's election is “good news for all those who believe in the values of freedom and in the determined and unwavering fight against terrorism and organized crime.” He expressed Israel’s desire to strengthen bilateral relations through cooperation in security, water resources, agriculture, and cybersecurity. Additionally, Sa’ar reiterated Israel’s “full support” for Peru’s OECD accession and invited Fujimori to visit Israel, declaring, “We will strengthen the relations between Israel and Peru.”
