Japan lowers travel advisory level for Israel after dialogue between Sa'ar, Japanese counterpart

Japan has lowered its travel advisory level for Israel, moving it from a “Level 3” (refrain from travel) to a “Level 2” (advise against unnecessary travel) designation. This decision, announced by Japan's Foreign Ministry, followed ongoing discussions between Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi. The Israeli Foreign Ministry highlighted the importance of this change for bilateral relations, anticipating increased business and cooperation. The reduced advisory level applies to Israel and the West Bank but excludes the Israel-Lebanon border area and the Gaza Strip. Similar adjustments were made for other Middle Eastern countries, including parts of Iraq and Lebanon.
