Jewish actor Noah Wyle wins second consecutive Emmy for 'The Pitt' Jewish character portrayal

Noah Wyle won his second consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch in HBO Max's "The Pitt." The show also secured its second consecutive win for Outstanding Drama Series. Wyle, who is also a writer and executive producer for the show, has developed Robby as a complex Jewish character, exploring his faith, including a scene where he recites the Shema and an episode addressing the trauma of the 2018 Tree of Life synagogue shooting. Wyle stated that playing Robby is "all I've ever wanted to do."
