Jewish education’s brightest stars take center stage

The Jerusalem Post, the Israeli Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, and UnitEd have launched the Jewish Teachers Award to recognize exceptional Jewish educators globally. This award aims to celebrate teachers who cultivate Jewish identity, values, and purpose in students worldwide. Up to ten recipients will be honored at the Global Jewish Educators Conference in Jerusalem on October 12, 2026, where they will be fully hosted guests.

“Educators are the mainstay of the Jewish people's continuity, heritage, and unique identity, second in importance only to parents,”

stated Amichai Chikli, Israel's Minister for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, emphasizing the strategic importance of Jewish education, especially since October 7. Nominations for the award are open at jewishteachersaward.com for eligible educators teaching Jewish Studies, Hebrew, or Israel Studies outside of Israel with at least three years of experience. A professional panel from Herzog Global and an international judging panel, chaired by Minister Chikli, will select the honorees.
