John Malkovich to return to Israel with satirical theatrical-musical show

Two-time Oscar nominee John Malkovich is set to return to Israel on April 13 for "The Music Critic," a satirical theatrical-musical show at Tel Aviv's Charles Bronfman Auditorium. Conceived by Aleksey Igudesman, the production features Malkovich as an "evil critic" who disparages classical composers like Schumann and Brahms, while a live ensemble performs their music. The show culminates with Malkovich reading a harsh critique of his own career. This marks Malkovich's third visit to Israel, and producer Alon Yuryk hopes it signals a return for international performers amid regional conflict. Malkovich expressed his excitement, stating, "I am thrilled to return to Israel and look forward to meeting the warm Israeli audience once again, to whom I feel a strong closeness and solidarity."
