Joint List to soon launch without Ra'am, deal in final stages, Hadash-Ta'al leader tells 'Post'

Three major Arab parties—Hadash, Ta'al, and Balad—are set to revive the Joint List this week without the Ra'am Party, according to Hadash-Ta'al chairman Yousef Jabareen. Jabareen, who replaced Ayman Odeh, stated in a Monday interview with The Jerusalem Post that the new Knesset slate would be unveiled soon. While the door remains open for Ra'am to join, current negotiations are not ongoing, as Ra'am prefers to wait closer to the deadline for submitting party lists. The parties empowered a Consensus Committee to finalize the slate's composition to expedite the process, with an announcement expected by week's end. The Joint List's primary objective is to replace the current government and remove Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom Jabareen described as leading a government that "threatens the basic rights of the Arab public." Other priorities include advancing equality for Arab citizens, combating organized crime, and pushing for the establishment of a Palestinian state.
