Knesset Finance Committee considers NIS 393 million transfer to Prime Minister's Office

The Knesset Finance Committee on Monday discussed a request to transfer NIS 393 million to the Prime Minister's Office. MK Vladimir Beliak of the Together party, the opposition's coordinator on the committee, expressed concerns on 103FM regarding the budget additions. He highlighted nearly NIS 100 million for increased security around the Prime Minister's Office and the Netanyahu family, including an additional NIS 12 million for family security, stating, "I am only asking why another NIS 12 million is needed now, three months after the state budget was approved."

• Beliak claimed NIS 8.5 million was allocated for the security of former minister Dermer, an "exceptional sum, two and a half times the usual amount for ministers' security."
• He also mentioned NIS 25 million for "Wing of Zion," which he called "a bottomless pit."
• Beliak argued that the funds would come from other budget lines, impacting essential services like education, health, welfare, and infrastructure.
• The discussion also touched on the conscription law, which Beliak called a "draft-dodging law," and the proposed media law, which he vowed to challenge legally if passed.
