Kuwait says Iran hit power and water plants, as Tehran steps up attacks across region

Iran has intensified its attacks across the region, with Kuwait reporting that Iranian missiles struck power and water desalination plants for a fourth consecutive day, leading to calls for electricity rationing. Bahrain also experienced multiple missile and drone attacks, reportedly targeting Amazon infrastructure and US military personnel accommodations. In Jordan, the military intercepted five drones and three missiles. Additionally, a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz was attacked, forcing its crew to abandon ship, with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claiming responsibility for this and two other recent ship attacks.

CENTCOM stated. Despite ongoing US retaliatory strikes on Iranian military and industrial sites, a new US intelligence assessment suggests these actions are unlikely to alter Iran's negotiating position regarding the Strait of Hormuz and its nuclear program. Diplomatic efforts are underway to restart stalled talks, with Pakistan acting as a key mediator.
