Kyiv's Chief Rabbi leads humanitarian ops. for local community amid waves of Russian strikes

Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Chabad shaliach Yonatan Markovitch has launched a humanitarian operation to assist the local community amidst recent Russian missile and drone attacks on the city. Working with the JCC Beit Menachem Kyiv and volunteers, Rabbi Markovitch is providing essential supplies such as food, water, clothing, and medication to residents, regardless of their religious affiliation. Volunteers are also offering practical support and guidance to families affected by the devastation. Rabbi Markovitch stated, "Our responsibility is to be here for every person in need," emphasizing their mission to "bring light precisely during these darkest moments." The recent attacks have resulted in casualties and widespread damage to residential areas and civilian infrastructure in Kyiv and across Ukraine.
