Lapid: Attempt to steal the election with help of government plants in defense establishment

Opposition leader Yair Lapid sharply criticized Shin Bet Director David Zini over his request to investigate MKs from the Joint List and Ra'am on suspicion of electoral misconduct."What we are witnessing tonight is an attempt to crush democracy and steal the election with the help of government plants within the security establishment. This is a direct threat to our democracy from people who refuse to accept defeat. I call on all state institutions to stand firm against this attempt, and on my colleagues in our political camp to put everything else aside and form a government as quickly as possible," Lapid said.
