Liberman unveils Yisrael Beytenu's election list with Rafi Ben Shitrit second, Sharon Sharabi sixth

Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman announced his party's Knesset election list, featuring new and returning candidates. Former Beit Shean mayor Rafi Ben Shitrit is second, and Sharon Sharabi, brother of former Hamas hostage Eli Sharabi, is sixth. Eli Sharabi's wife and daughters were killed on October 7, and another brother was murdered in captivity. Liberman stated, "The State of Israel cannot become a federation of religious and ethnic minorities." He emphasized the need for a "Zionist, nationalist, and liberal government" prioritizing those who serve, work, and pay taxes. The party, traditionally hawkish on security, advocates for eliminating Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian regime, expanding West Bank settlements, and separating religion and state, including mandatory haredi conscription without state aid for draft dodgers.
