Magen David Adom ends year with nearly two million dispatches as Rosh Hashanah approaches

Magen David Adom (MDA) concluded the Hebrew year 5786 with significant life-saving operations, responding to 1,911,412 incidents across Israel, averaging a dispatch every 16.5 seconds. The 101 Emergency Call Center handled over two million calls with an average response time of under two seconds. MDA Director General Eli Bin stated, "During 5786, Magen David Adom continued to advance technologically and strengthen its capabilities with the support of generous donors from Israel and around the world."

• Nearly 40,000 volunteers and employees contributed over 6.3 million service hours, with the oldest volunteer being 92 and the youngest 14.
• MDA collected 281,917 blood units and supplied approximately 5,700 liters of breast milk from its National Human Milk Bank to premature and sick babies.
• Following lessons from the October 7 massacre, MDA launched Project Magen, training 17,804 civilians in initial medical care and equipping over 1,000 doctors and paramedics with medical supplies for emergencies.
• The organization also provided medical treatment to 67,624 people in road accidents and 229 individuals rescued from water during the swimming season, while certifying 401 new paramedics and training thousands in CPR and first aid.
