Main electoral battle will be for Israel's centrist voters, with far-right, left already set – poll

A new Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI) poll indicates that the main electoral battle in the upcoming Israeli election will be for centrist voters, as most Israelis, particularly at the political extremes, already have established preferences. While 53% are completely certain of their vote, 14% are undecided, primarily in the center. JPPI President Prof. Yedidia Stern stated, "most Israelis are entering the election campaign with established preferences, and therefore the political battle will focus on the votes of those in the centrist bloc."

• Security is the top concern for 28% of all respondents, followed by government-judicial system relations (18%) and advancing Israel as a more liberal country (15%).
• Among Jewish Israelis, 66% identify with the Right, while half of Arab respondents place themselves on the Left.
• The judicial system remains a central issue, especially for right-wing voters, with 70% of those prioritizing it preferring a right-wing coalition.
• The survey suggests a need for a broad coalition post-election to manage disputes and potentially advance a "thin constitution."
