A new survey by the Mellman Group for the Jewish Electorate Institute, published Tuesday, indicates that while 86% of American Jews identify as pro-Israel, 61% hold an unfavorable view of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. A majority of 56% believe Netanyahu's actions have increased antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment in the US. The poll also revealed divisions on US military aid, with 52% supporting reductions or elimination of the $3.3 billion aid package. Regarding the upcoming Israeli elections, 60% of American Jews want Netanyahu replaced, while only 16% desire his re-election.
