Mamdani 'inciting violence against Jews in New York,' Israeli consul general says

Akunis stated that he had previously warned about the consequences of Mamdani's actions, including the mayor's spokeswoman claiming synagogues violate international law by hosting pro-Israel events, and Mamdani's past calls for the arrest of the Israeli Prime Minister. Akunis emphasized, "This pattern is too familiar and echoes Europe 100 years ago," noting a significant surge in anti-Jewish hate crimes since Mamdani took office. He added, "Incitement always promotes and encourages physical violence."
