Man arrested for allegedly making Jew-hatred threats against Ben Shapiro

Korby Aaren Strube, 29, of Horton, Kansas, was arrested in Florida on September 12 for allegedly posting antisemitic threats to kill political commentator Ben Shapiro. Strube faces 23 counts related to written or electronic threats and two counts for using a two-way communications device to facilitate a felony. According to an affidavit, Strube made threats on social media on July 31, August 1, and August 2, stating he would be "giving the world a boost by killing Ben Shapiro for being Jewish" and was "killing this stupid Jew." The threats included countdowns pointing to Yom Kippur and invoked "antisemitic conspiratorial themes as justification for the intended killing." The investigation began August 4 after a security firm alerted authorities. Strube admitted to posting threats against Shapiro and others, though he claimed his accounts were hacked, a claim investigators contradicted.
