Massachusetts man gets almost 10 years for threats to kill Jewish congressman, his children

Edwin Guerrero of Massachusetts was sentenced to nine years and 11 months in prison for making antisemitic threats against then-Florida state Rep. Randy Fine and his family in August 2025. Guerrero, 26, made social media posts threatening to kill Fine, who is Jewish, and his "two, little precious Jewish boys." Investigators traced the posts to an IP address associated with Guerrero, who later admitted to sending the messages. His phone also contained antisemitic and anti-Israel content. Fine stated, "I never thought my sons would be the victims of a violent federal felony." U.S. Attorney Gregory Kehoe emphasized that "Threats of intimidation or harm against public officials or anyone for their political or religious beliefs will not be tolerated." Guerrero also faces a $15,000 fine.
