Massachusetts man sentenced to nearly 10 years for antisemitic threats against Randy Fine, sons

A Massachusetts man, Edwin Guerrero, 26, was sentenced to nine years and 11 months in federal prison and fined $15,000 for making antisemitic threats against then-Florida State Representative Randy Fine and his two minor sons. Between August 10 and August 15, 2024, Guerrero used social media from Spain to post violent threats, including images of firearms and a deceased man, targeting Fine and his children, explicitly referencing their Jewish identity. U.S. District Judge Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe determined the threats were hate-motivated, emphasizing the need to deter such actions against elected officials and protected classes. Fine stated the threats "made my blood run cold" and that his sons "are now victims of a crime."
