MDA hosts knowledge-sharing workshop for Latin American, Spanish emergency organization officials

Magen David Adom (MDA) recently hosted a workshop for 21 senior emergency medical services officials from Latin America and Spain, part of the Foreign Ministry's 545 Project. The delegation, from countries including Mexico, Spain, and Argentina, visited MDA's national headquarters, toured southern Israel, and observed operations at the Jerusalem station. The initiative aimed to share Israel's expertise in emergency medicine, including managing mass-casualty incidents and utilizing advanced technologies, while strengthening international professional ties. MDA Director-General Eli Bin stated that the "knowledge that Magen David Adom has accumulated over the years...is a national asset that helps strengthen the resilience of the State of Israel." The workshop also included tours of MDA's blood services and the national breast milk bank, and discussions on Israel's healthcare system. Participants, such as Honduras' Deputy Minister Luis René Suasó, expressed gratitude, noting, "Coming to Israel was truly an enriching experience." The program is expected to continue, with participants applying their new knowledge and serving as goodwill ambassadors for Israel.
