MDA paramedic delivers his own baby daughter in ambulance en route to hospital

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedic Yitzhak Bendahan delivered his own baby daughter in an ambulance on Monday while en route to the hospital with his wife, Yael, who was in advanced labor. Realizing they wouldn't reach the hospital in time, Bendahan safely parked the ambulance and delivered a healthy baby girl. Bendahan, who typically responds to emergencies in the Jerusalem region, stated, "As an MDA paramedic, I've delivered quite a few babies over the years, but I'd never experienced anything like this." He added that delivering his own daughter was "a moment I'll never forget."
