Mediators have proposed a 10-day ceasefire to Iran as a means to de-escalate the ongoing conflict with the United States and explore options for reviving an interim deal established last month. A senior Iranian official informed Reuters on Monday about this proposal. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed on Sunday that new ideas for a peace process were presented by mediators. He stated, "The principle of the matter is clear: mediators are working and trying to prevent tension from escalating."
