Despite recent political headlines, Michigan's economic partnership with Israel remains strong and is not diminishing, according to Mark Davidoff and Howard Handler of the Michigan Israel Business Accelerator. They emphasize that the decades-long relationship, built on economic, technological, and personal ties, transcends individual election cycles. Michigan, a leader in mobility innovation, offers Israeli companies a gateway to the North American market, while Michigan-based firms seek Israeli technology and talent. The Michigan Israel Business Accelerator has facilitated over 100 Israeli companies landing in Michigan, generating approximately $45 million in economic activity, and organized numerous trade missions. The authors state, "Michigan is not turning away from Israel. If anything, we are more engaged than ever." They highlight that business decisions are based on opportunity and trusted partners, not political outcomes, ensuring the continuity of this mutually beneficial relationship.
