Mike Huckabee rejects Ro Khanna's Israel visit claims: 'Not held at gunpoint'

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has accused Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) of misrepresenting facts regarding his recent visit to the West Bank, where Khanna claimed he and his delegation were aggressively detained by Israeli settlers. Huckabee stated the U.S. Embassy was not informed of Khanna's visit, contradicting Khanna's assertion that the embassy was notified. The IDF confirmed soldiers responded to reports of foreign nationals in what was believed to be a closed military zone and that Israeli civilians were blocking a road, but stated there was no physical confrontation or violence. Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter also criticized Khanna for not coordinating his visit and for making "genocide" and "apartheid" libels.
