Miss Israel visits City Hall in Manhattan, says won’t try to meet Mamdani

Danielle Yablonka, Miss Israel 2026, visited New York City Hall last week, meeting with City Council member Eric Dinowitz and other local leaders. Yablonka declined an offer to meet with Mayor Zohran Mamdani, stating, "I’m not looking to give a PR stunt opportunity to someone that doesn’t support my values, my country and my people’s right to exist." Dinowitz emphasized strengthening the "deep bond between New York City and Israel" and highlighted the importance of cultural visits in combating the demonization of Israel and the Jewish people, especially amid a significant surge in anti-Jewish hate crimes in New York City.
