MK Tropper folds Zionist Home Party into Eisenkot’s Yashar

Former IDF chief Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar Party finalized a political merger with lawmaker Chili Tropper's Zionist Home Party on Sunday. Tropper, who dissolved his alliance with Yoaz Hendel's The Reservists Party earlier that day, is slated for the sixth spot on Eisenkot's list and a potential top ministerial role. Eisenkot praised Tropper as "a values-driven and statesmanlike leader, a man of action and service." Two other members from Tropper's party, Shira Shapira and Elyasaf Peretz, whose families were impacted by conflict, also joined Yashar in realistic spots. Eisenkot stated, "The addition of Chili, Shira, Elisaf and Shlomi strengthens the principled, high-quality team we are building." Additionally, Yashar published a list of symbolic candidates for the bottom of its Knesset slate, including survivors and family members of victims from the October 7, 2023, massacre, to represent the party's commitment to accountability and rebuilding.
