Mojtaba Khamenei praises Hezbollah, calls for continued jihad, attacks against Israel

Mojtaba Khamenei, son of Iran's Supreme Leader, reportedly called for continued jihadist attacks against Israel and praised Hezbollah in statements released Sunday. In response to a Hezbollah letter pledging allegiance to Iran, Khamenei allegedly stated that “there remains no path forward except jihad and resistance” against the US and Israel. He also asserted that the defense of Hezbollah is Iran's “strategic mandate,” a policy set by his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Khamenei reportedly claimed that Iran's primary condition for a peace agreement with the US is the cessation of all Israeli operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. He also lamented the killing of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, describing him as “Hezbollah's master of martyrs.”
