Israel has announced “countermeasures” against the United Kingdom following the British government’s decision to ban products from Judea and Samaria. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar stated that Israel would close the British consulate in Jerusalem, remove British representatives from the International Gaza Support Center, and terminate British training of Palestinian Authority forces. Additionally, 12 British elected representatives and other nationals involved in antisemitic or anti-Israel activity will be denied entry to Israel. Sa'ar called the British move “morally distorted” and “blatant interference in the affairs of a sovereign state,” accusing the Labour government of imposing sanctions for “domestic political reasons.”
