More than 4,500 North American and Israeli teens gather for the return of RootOne's Big Tent event

More than 4,500 North American and Israeli Jewish teens gathered on July 10 at Live Park in Rishon Letzion for RootOne's Big Tent event, the first since 2023. The event, hosted by RootOne in partnership with The Jewish Agency for Israel, the Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, and Mosaic United, celebrated friendships and shared experiences. It featured a performance by Noam Bettan and included testimonies from Daniel Weiss, a Kibbutz Be'eri survivor, and Moran Stella Yanai, a former hostage, acknowledging the events of October 7. Participants also assembled care packages and met Israeli pen pals, reinforcing RootOne's mission to foster lasting connections to Israel and Jewish identity. David Bryfman, CEO of The Jewish Education Project and interim executive director of RootOne, stated, "When young Jews from North America and Israel get to know one another as people, not headlines, they build trust, empathy and a shared future."
