Moroccan anti-Zionist movement calls for nationwide protests against FMs meeting, deepening ties

The Moroccan Front for Support of Palestine and Against Normalization (FMSPCN) has called for nationwide protests from September 25 to 27 against the Moroccan government's decision to deepen ties with Israel. This call follows a meeting on September 16 between Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar and Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita in the US, where they were accompanied by US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz. The FMSPCN claims that further meetings are expected during the UN General Assembly, potentially leading to the elevation of Moroccan-Israeli relations to embassy level, increased flights, and strengthened economic, commercial, military, and security agreements.

"Normal relations cannot be built with an abnormal entity based on occupation, genocide, ethnic cleansing, and displacement," FMSPCN said.

The group asserts that "Palestine is not a bargaining chip" and rejects the use of embassies and agreements to legitimize the occupation, urging all Moroccan organizations to oppose normalization.
