Ms. Rachel defends Gaza advocacy amid criticism

Children's entertainer Rachel Accurso, known as "Ms. Rachel," has defended her advocacy for Palestinians in Gaza despite criticism and warnings of potential business and viewership losses. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Accurso stated, "'You're gonna lose this partnership. You're gonna lose views.' That doesn't faze me because the kids gave me the platform. I'm going to stand with them no matter what." She believes she has a responsibility to use her platform for children, having previously criticized public figures for their silence on Palestinian children, accusing them of racism. Accurso also criticized Ed Sheeran after Macklemore, who called for a "free Palestine," was removed from Sheeran's tour, stating, "A genocide is happening in Gaza." Her advocacy has drawn criticism from pro-Israel groups, who accuse her of anti-Israel propaganda. She previously apologized for accidentally liking an antisemitic comment. Accurso's efforts include hosting an online press briefing on Palestinian children in June.
