Ms. Rachel pledges $1 million to Gaza children charity, matching Macklemore donation

Children's entertainer Ms. Rachel (Rachel Accurso) announced on Thursday that she would donate $1 million to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), matching a donation made by singer Macklemore. She urged "every wealthy white celebrity" to follow suit. Macklemore's $1 million donation, representing his net earnings from the Ed Sheeran Loop Tour, was distributed among several organizations supporting Palestinian causes, including PCRF, HEAL Palestine, and the UNRWA. Macklemore was removed from Sheeran's tour due to his critical remarks about Israel's military actions in Gaza, with stadium owners, including Robert Kraft, citing antisemitism concerns, which Macklemore denies. Ms. Rachel has been an activist for Gazan children and previously launched a fundraiser for children in conflict areas. In January 2024, she faced accusations of antisemitism after appearing to engage with an antisemitic comment on Instagram, which she attributed to an accidental "like and hide" action.
