My home was destroyed, my arm was broken, but my commitment to peace remains unshaken – opinion

A former UNRWA official, who recently lost his home and broke his arm during an evacuation, has reaffirmed his commitment to peace between Palestinians and Israelis. Despite personal suffering, he rejects hatred and violence, advocating for a future built on mutual recognition and reconciliation. He states, "My arm may be broken, and my home may lie in ruins, but my belief that peace is possible remains unbroken." He has also penned an open letter to US President Donald Trump, requesting a meeting to share his humanitarian perspective and discuss a path towards security, dignity, and peace for both peoples, emphasizing that "sincere dialogue between human beings can open doors that wars have closed."
