Netanya youth attacked by group of 20 teenagers in Eilat after refusing to give away cigarette
An MDA team called to the scene evacuated Nahum to Yoseftal Medical Center in the city, where it was determined that he was suffering from a dislocated shoulder, bleeding, and severe injuries.
A young man from Netanya, Eliya Nahum, was severely assaulted by approximately 20 teenagers on the Eilat promenade last Wednesday evening after he declined to give a cigarette to one of them. His friend's attempt to intervene was unsuccessful. Nahum sustained a dislocated shoulder, bleeding, and other severe injuries, requiring treatment at Yoseftal Medical Center in Eilat and Laniado Hospital in Netanya.
Police said in a response that an investigation was opened upon receiving the complaint and that a range of investigative measures had begun, including collecting testimony, evidence, and findings from the scene of the attack.
Following Nahum's complaint, police initiated an investigation, leading to the arrest of six teenagers. They were placed under house arrest with restrictive conditions, which were extended by the Eilat Magistrate's Court. The investigation is ongoing to identify and prosecute all individuals involved.
