Netanyahu ally predicts half of Likud lawmakers will lose seats, 'watch Knesset on TV'

An associate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu predicted Sunday that approximately half of current Likud lawmakers, including ministers, will lose their seats in the next election. The associate claimed that out of 45 Likud members, only 18 would remain, plus eight reserved slots, totaling 25 seats based on current polls. He attributed this to their reluctance to speak out openly, stating, "They had the organizing committee handed to them on a silver platter, and they were afraid to speak out openly." The associate also criticized the controversial clause allowing serving Knesset members to run for regional and reserved slots, suggesting that many incumbents who attempt this will lose to new candidates, and that the "golden parachute they received from Haim Katz" may not guarantee their re-election.
