Netanyahu discusses Iran war, US-Israel relations in ‘ABC News’ interview

During an interview with “ABC News Live Prime” anchor Linsey Davis in Washington, D.C., Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed various topics, including the Iran war and US-Israel relations. Netanyahu denied accusations by Vice President JD Vance that Israel is running an influence campaign to manipulate American public opinion against a diplomatic resolution with Iran, stating, “Well, we’re not actually. I had a very good conversation with the vice president this morning, and I think we straightened that out, because we’re not. That’s not our policy.” He expressed skepticism about Iran's sincerity in negotiations, noting, “They always lie, they always cheat, and they always play for time.” Netanyahu also predicted that the Strait of Hormuz would lose strategic value after the war, as oil pipelines would be rerouted. He attributed declining American support for Israel to the “proliferation of social media” and manipulation by other nations, emphasizing his desire for bipartisan support for Israel.
