Netanyahu joins 150,000 for season's final Selichot prayer gathering at Western Wall

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended the final Selichot penitential prayers at the Western Wall on Saturday night, joining approximately 150,000 people. He recited a prayer for IDF soldiers and security personnel. The service was also attended by former Gaza hostages Eliya Cohen, Rom Braslavski, Elkana Bohbot, and Ohad Ben Ami, along with National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and other religious and municipal leaders. The event, held ahead of Yom Kippur, saw crowds fill the Western Wall plaza and surrounding areas, with the service broadcast on large screens for those unable to enter. Additionally, Israeli President Isaac Herzog and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee issued messages of prayer and reflection for Yom Kippur.
