Netanyahu seeking electoral stalemate, new elections to stay in power, former adviser says

Former communications adviser to Benjamin Netanyahu, Avi Bushinsky, stated on 103FM that Prime Minister Netanyahu's primary goal in the upcoming election is to prevent the opposition from securing 61 seats. Bushinsky believes Netanyahu aims for a political stalemate to trigger another election, allowing him to remain as the sitting prime minister in a transitional government. He also expressed skepticism about the viability of numerous smaller parties forming, noting that even joint leadership efforts by figures like Benny Gantz and Dedi Simchi struggled to cross the electoral threshold. Roy Kuncol, who recently left the Reservists Party, commented on the formation of Chili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel's new party, Yesodot Yisrael, calling it "no major breakthrough." Kuncol argued that the split between two politically aligned individuals was illogical, attributing it to "issues of ego and grievances" and emphasizing that "The game in politics is about joining forces, not splitting apart."
