Netanyahu spent nearly a million shekels for garden maintenance in 2025, report reveals
For the first time this year, the classification of private residences included the house on Gaza Street and additional private residences, as well as the additional residence in Caesarea.
The Movement for Freedom of Information revealed expenses for Prime Minister Netanyahu's residences for 2025 and the first half of 2026, totaling NIS 1,979,517 and NIS 731,081, respectively. These figures include costs for food, gardening at the Caesarea residence (NIS 94,957 in 2025), and various maintenance. Attorney Hidi Negev, executive director of the Movement, stated, "Once again, a wasteful policy involving the use of public funds at the prime minister's residences has been revealed." The Prime Minister's Office responded, asserting that "The figures published in the response show that the total expenses for the residences during Prime Minister Netanyahu's term are significantly lower than those incurred during the terms of previous prime ministers."
