Netanyahu warns Iran: 'Attack us, and we will hit you harder than last time'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Iran on Tuesday at the Negev Conference in Dimona, stating that any future Iranian attack on Israel would be met with a response "far more powerful" than previous encounters. Netanyahu declared, "Don't count on it to be quiet if you attack us. Don't count on a rerun. It will be a different broadcast—far more powerful." This warning follows the last exchange of strikes on June 7, when Iran launched ballistic missiles at Israel, which retaliated by hitting Iran's Mahshahr petrochemical complex. While Iran has since refrained from directly attacking Israel, it has targeted Bahrain, Jordan, and three tankers in the Strait of Hormuz amid escalating tensions with the U.S. U.S. President Donald Trump, in response to Iranian attacks on commercial ships, ordered more strikes against Iranian targets and declared the U.S. would become "the guardian of the Hormuz Strait," reimposing a blockade on Iranian shipping.
