Nine reported killed in southern Lebanon as IDF retaliates for Hezbollah drone launches

The IDF conducted retaliatory strikes in southern Lebanon after Hezbollah launched two explosive drones at Israeli forces on the Ali Taher ridge, causing no Israeli injuries. The IDF stated it targeted Hezbollah infrastructure, including a weapons storage facility, and eliminated several Hezbollah terrorists in the Nabatieh area. Lebanese reports indicate nine people, including women and children, were killed and 11 wounded in a strike on a building in Kfar Reman. Additionally, two people, including a paramedic from the Lebanese Scout and Rescue Association, were killed in a vehicle strike. The IDF stated, "Prior to the strikes, steps were taken to mitigate harm to uninvolved individuals," and is reviewing claims of civilian casualties. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun called the attacks a "dangerous escalation."
