No. 29: Ofer Yannay: A leader in renewable energy and innovation

Ofer Yannay, founder of Nofar Energy, has been a significant figure in Israel's renewable energy sector since establishing the company in 2011. Nofar Energy, initially focused on solar panel installations in Israeli communities, has expanded globally to Europe, the United States, and Brazil, generating over 3,000 megawatts of renewable energy. Yannay stated at the Jerusalem Post Conference in June 2026 that Nofar's value had tripled in the past year and it had launched its first AI energy project in Israel, continuing its history of pioneering new energy solutions. Beyond his business ventures, Yannay owns two basketball clubs, Hapoel Galil Elyon and Hapoel Tel Aviv BC, leading the latter to its EuroLeague debut in the 2025-2026 season. He also contributes to the Or Ofir Foundation, which develops future Israeli leaders, and chairs the Yannay Foundation, supporting education, healthcare, and foster families.
